About Vintage Cigar Store
Most people stumble onto a cigar shop. I collided with destiny.
Back in 2020, a close friend gifted me something unforgettable: a 1962 Webster cigar of Cuban origin. A true relic. I knew it was something special the second I held it—but instead of rushing to light it, I did what any respectful cigar lover would do: I tucked it away in my humidor, letting it rest alongside my other prized sticks, waiting for the right moment.
Fast forward to 2025. I’m rearranging my humidor, rebalancing the humidity zones and reordering some of my long-term aging sticks when I come across that 1962 Webster. The age on it was unmistakable. A living piece of tobacco history. And suddenly, I was on a mission: to figure out everything I could about that cigar.
I hit every forum, shop, and search engine I could find. Nothing. That is—until I found Vintage Cigar Store.
I called the number, not expecting much. What I got was George—a U.S. military veteran and walking encyclopedia of vintage cigars. We talked for over an hour. He didn’t just give me the answer—I got the full download on the Webster brand, its Cuban roots, and how rare it was to even see one in that kind of condition.
That call turned into a connection. A few months later, George let me know he was ready to retire and was looking for someone who would carry the torch the right way. Someone who respected the legacy—not just the profit margins.
Opportunity struck, and we struck a deal.
I flew down from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Nashville, Tennessee, with my friend Rockwell (owner of Distillery University) to help me vet the inventory. And let me tell you—this wasn’t a tiny stash. We loaded up a U-Haul with thousands of vintage cigars, some going back over a hundred years.
And then came the journey back.
We pushed through major floods
Got a police escort through a dangerous stretch of road where U-Hauls were being targeted
Drove through long, desolate stretches during a snowstorm, where the only thing keeping us on the road were the buried mile markers
That drive felt like a rite of passage. The harder it got, the more I knew this collection was worth it.
Now? Every stick is safe and sound in my climate-controlled storeroom in Idaho—housed across eight massive humidors. Pre-embargo Cubans, obscure brands, Clear Havanas, forgotten Nicaraguan blends—you name it.
My Mission
I’m not just here to sell cigars. I’m here to preserve a culture.
Every cigar in this store has been personally verified, stored properly, and documented. This isn’t mass-market garbage. This is real tobacco history—and I’m proud to be its steward.
I do this for the community. I do it for the love of cigars. And I do it for my sons, who I hope will carry this legacy forward long after I’m gone.
So whether you're hunting down a legend or discovering your first piece of cigar history—you’ve found your people.
Welcome to Vintage Cigar Store.
