1916 GENERAL SATISFACTION EAGLES HAVANA SINGLES
$60.00THESE CIGARS WERE PRODUCED IN OHIO AND ARE MADE OF LUSCIOUS VUELTA ABAJO TOBACCO. VUELTA ABAJO IS THE BEST REGION IN CUBA FOR TOBACCO QUALITY. THESE CIGARS ARE PRE-WWI AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
1921 KILDOWS TIFFIN CLEAR HAVANA SINGLES
$75.00Hand made in Tiffin Ohio during the Prohibition era with Cuban tobacco. Dating was done by combining the existence of the blue 4 inch tax stamp, which started in 1916, and the perforated 1 just below the sealed cut (see photos). The 2 from 21 is missing but this is where the year would have been. By 1931, the seal would have been a different series. 1921 is the year.
1929 MEDITATION ROBUSTO HAVANA BLEND FOIL WRAPPED SINGLES
$100.00These short filled Havana blends were made at the beginning of the Depression era in the Red Lion PA district.
1930s DUTCH MASTERS PERFECTO SINGLES
$60.00These hand made perfectos are from the Great Depression era and are in excellent condition.
1930s ESPANA MADURO PANETALES SINGLES
$20.00This box was a sealed box until it was opened for inspection prior to listing. The aromas for the box when opened were incredible, like walking into a spice shop. These were manufactured in the 1930s Canary Islands factory of Jose Arrocha under strick union guidance. I have include an excerpt for a 1998 Cigar Aficionado article regarding Canary Island cigars and their use of Cuban Tobacco. Don't pass up these Maduros.
"The chief factor that differentiates Canary Island cigars from most others is the strong tradition of using Cuban tobacco in their blends. Cigar, cigarillo and cigarette producers on the islands have always used tobacco from two of Cuba's prominent growing areas, the Vuelta Abajo and Remedios. The former is the same area that produces great Havanas (or "Habanos," as the Cubans like to call their hand-rolled smokes), while the latter region traditionally produces a strong, dark tobacco for cigarettes."
1931 FLOR DE MANUEL ARISTOCRATS SEALED BOX
$2,000.00This box is from the Great Depression era and is still sealed in hoilday wrapping with the bow string intact. They were made in Detroit by Mazer Cressman Cigar Company.
1940’s HAUS KONIGIN EXTRA PUROS SINGLES
$30.00Due to the individual packaging each cigar in tinfoil and the price of each, one can assume that these are Havana-cigars, made in Germany. The price on the tax stamp is given in "Rpf", which means 40 cent from 1 "Reichsmark". The "Reichsmark" existed in Germany from 1924 to 1948, so they could even be pre-war cigars.
